Billy Preston, R.I.P.

Houston-born Billy Preston died today.



I was shocked to hear he was only 59 years old, meaning he was only about 23 when the Beatles brought him in during the "Let It Be" sessions, partially to buffer the raging egos - so the band would play nice in front of an outsider.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the absolutely joyous "Nothing from Nothing" video.
